The California coastline is iconic. I mean, when you see a photo of it, you instantly know it’s California! New England, of course, has its own unique beauty. But with a strong urge to get away, and mix things up a little, I decided to plan a vacation to visit my cousin in San Diego, and also plan a styled elopement. My cousin Danielle, quickly offered up herself and her boyfriend Nick as models. After deep diving into some Facebook groups, I got a florist, jewelry maker, and hair & makeup artist on board! Things were coming together! The skies looked clear and sunny at the beginning of the shoot day, and then just as we were pulling into Torrey Pines BOOM. Rain. But, here’s the thing. On the day of a real elopement, Mother Nature doesn’t give a crap that you have your hair and makeup done, and are about to get married. So we embraced the wet weather, and even kicked off our shoes to frolic on the beach, and run into the ocean. If I could have changed the weather that day, I wouldn’t! Everyone knows kissing in the rain is romantic AF!
Huge THANK YOU to the vendors who collaborated with me!
