As a child I was always fascinated by Alice In Wonderland. I even played the part of the crab (I had two lines) in my middle school’s production of the Lewis Caroll classic. As autumn came to a close, I felt the pull to do something BIG before winter officially arrived. I teamed up with some of my favorite creative ladies to plan a high fashion take on some of my favorite Alice in Wonderland characters. My friend Audrey, a hair and makeup artist, and owner of ‘Audrey Stylez’ helped with the initial vision and character selection, and obviously provided the hair and makeup looks for the shoot. And Cindy, the vintage thrifting queen and owner of ‘Alchemy‘ put together the fashion for each character. After creating my first halo crown, I came a little bit obsessed with crafting head pieces, and knew I wanted each character to have something fantastic on their heads. Of course, no tea party is complete without treats. I knew Martha, owner of Hanami Cake Design, was the perfect woman for the job. With all of our props, clothes, and macarons ready to go, we fell down the rabbit hole and sipped tea with Alice, The Queen of Hearts, The Mad Hatter, and the Cheshire Cat.
