When my twin sister FINALLY got engaged to her fiancé, I knew I was going to have to come up with something super cool for their engagement session. You see, as the sister of a professional photographer Veronica, and her man, have been my “models” a few times over the years. Sure, we could have done another darling couples session frolicking in a field of flowers, but they had kinda “been there done that”. Actually, they had done a couples session with me during every season EXCEPT for fall. So, with foliage on the brain, I began to scheme an engagement session of epic proportions. Once I had the gowns rented, the chair thrifted, and the crowns crafted, all that was left was finding a location that fit the ~vibe~. I had visions of a large, stone castle on a hill. Something straight out of a Disney classic. Then, I remembered, we live in Maine, and I had to scale back my vision a bit. Eventually I settled on the Vaughn Woods in Hallowell. Also nicknamed “hobbit land”, due to the abundance of stone bridges and structures. It was perfect. With a wagon full of props, my other sister, my dad, and Nathan (the dog) in tow, we set out into the forrest to create some magic.
